What is a waiver? A Waiver is a term that allows a person with disabilities to apply for a program to "waive" certain requirements (like financial need) to gain medicaid services, which always include medical "state plan" medicaid as well sometimes also additional benefits outside of state plan. These can include complimentary therapies or personal assistance for accessing the community that are not billable to state plan medicaid.

Are you or a loved one on one of the HCBS waivers for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities? Wonder what services are available for the waiver? And what are the billable rates?
Wonder what approved waiver providers are out there since RFPs don't get to every PASA? Did you know you can contact the folks on this list who offer the service you need (look at grid on far right)? This list is "in the cloud" and updated often as there are many new PASAs approved. Many are small, run by a family just for their one family member, or a few, or can be large agencies.
